Oh, my. I started this blog with the best of intentions, but from the length of time between posts, apparently those good intentions are the variety that pave a particular road….but I’m back now. Did you miss me?
Somehow this seemed like such an appropriate song for the occasion. It’s been one of my favorites since the first time I heard it. Everyone has a song, or songs, that speak to them. Maybe it’s the lyrics, maybe it’s the melody, or maybe it’s something you can’t even identify. But for me, as soon as I hear the guitar breakdown at the beginning, I have to stop to listen, and to sing along.
And this acoustic version? Weiland at his most mournful. If you don’t feel the pain when he sings ‘You lied,’ you must be made of stone.
